Never hurts to ask permission!
While scouting for an upcoming shoot, we stumbled upon a parking lot that had the top few floors empty during the weekdays. After our producers politely talked with the operators (and brought them some donuts from a local shop), we were able to secure permission to shoot in a select few locations. Here are some of the resulting stills.
